Gareth Vincenti From 1990 to August 2000 I was a Consultant Psychiatrist to Northallerton Health Services NHS Trust, based at the Friarage Hospital, where I was also the Director of Postgraduate Medical Education. Before taking up my post in Northallerton in 1990, I served for eleven years in the Royal Army Medical Corps, both as a military psychiatrist and as a general duties medical officer, in Britain, Northern Ireland and overseas. During this period, I gained considerable experience in the recognition and management of psychological problems following traumatic events. In my time as a clinical tutor, I was heavily involved in mentoring and supporting doctors at a difficult time in their careers. I have lectured on psychiatric aspects of occupational health to a wide variety of bodies in recent years. MBBS 1981 MRCPsych 1987 FRCPsych 1999 |
